Lebanon Campus Pastor

THE CHURCH

Liberty Heights Church is a large and thriving Southern Baptist Church located in the suburbs of Northern Cincinnati. The church has two locations, with one central sending Campus in Liberty Twp. plus one nearby satellite campus in the community of Lebanon and a vision for a future satellite campus in the heart of the Mason/Landen communities. All campuses of LHC have live teaching. Each of these multi-generational congregations is located in communities that are growing rapidly with young families. In addition, the church has launched two mission-campus ministries (Hispanic service at Sending Campus and a Inner-City ministry serving a high-need community). Mission and service exist at the center of Liberty Heights’ ministry vision.

Liberty Heights is governed by three core values: Dependent Prayer, The Priority of Relationships (Biblical Community), The Authority & Sufficiency of Scripture. The values drive the church towards dependence on God, His Word, and other Christians.

The church is contemporary in approach to worship and discipleship and employs an expository teaching style. They place a great emphasis on transformational application through a deeper understanding of how the affections of our hearts drive one's behavior. They have a clear discipleship strategy that flows from preschool to adulthood and is executed through both large and small groups.

The Lebanon campus is located a little over 20 minutes away from LHC's original campus in Liberty Twp. This campus was launched 5 years ago as a revitalization partnership with a small declining congregation. Since relaunching in 2019 as a campus of LHC, the church has doubled in size with over 100 people calling this campus home. The congregation currently consists of approximately one-third of its attendees from the original congregation, a third from LHC's original sending campus (Liberty Twp.), and a third from transfer growth.

The physical Lebanon Campus sits on 5-acres of land that is located on the northside of Lebanon. Lebanon is a picturesque community that is the county seat for Warren County, OH. The town boasts of nearly 21,000 residents and is centrally located between I-75 and I-71, which are both major thoroughfares to downtown Cincinnati. Evangelistic opportunities abound in and around the Lebanon campus as it is located directly beside a large apartment complex and sits directly across the street from the Lebanon Junior High School and the Lebanon Schools football stadium. The church has also set aside a sizeable fund as well as dedicated building space for a language-based evangelistic opportunity serving the growing Hispanic population in the area.

THE CANDIDATE

The Lebanon Campus Pastor will oversee all aspects of the ministry and lead the staff. They will have weekly preaching duties, preaching approximately 40 times per year, and need to be a dynamic expository communicator. While the role oversees systems and teams, they will be able to rely on an administrative structure driven centrally from the original sending campus. Therefore, value will be placed on candidates that are highly relational. Candidates that would appeal to a younger audience are going to be most successful in this role. One of the largest areas of responsibilities for the Campus Pastor will be to develop and lead a campus-specific plan for local community outreach.
