BRIDGE 56

Serving 5th & 6th Graders

GATHER

We strongly encourage our 5th & 6th grade students to attend the adult worship service each week with their parents. We believe that a student’s parents, not the church, are always the biggest influencers in their lives in every way – including spiritually.

GROW

During one Sunday service each week, we offer 5th & 6th grade students a time of discipleship that is age and gender-specific. Our goal is to provide these students with the opportunity to become more mature in their faith and to better understand what it looks like to be a disciple of Christ. We provide a small group time to develop friendships, engage in relevant teaching and to process their faith while being led by Godly leaders. Through all of this, our desire is to help them look more like Christ.

GIVE

Our kids have the opportunity to give of their treasures throughout the year by putting money in the Automatic Tithing Machine (ATM). All of this money is used to sponsor a child through Compassion International Students also have an opportunity to bring school supplies for our partner school throughout the summer, contribute food items for Thanksgiving boxes, pack shoeboxes each Christmas, and collect items in the spring for an LHC partner.

GO

Our 5th & 6th graders go into the community once a month to serve others. This can include outings such as decorating the local community center for Christmas or going to a nursing home to do arts and crafts with the residents. The goal is to move students beyond “doing church” to understand what it means to serve others in the name of Jesus.
